Ballyclare Comrades 0-2 Ballymena United
JJB Sports Irish Cup - Tuesday, 3rd February, 2009
GOALS from Kevin Kelbie and Lee Colligan saw Ballymena United defeat Ballyclare Comrades in this much delayed JJB Sports Irish Cup tie at Dixon Park.

United moved in front after 18 minutes when a Paul Muir free-kick was cleared by Evan Forsythe only as far as Kelbie who promptly returned it with his right foot from some 20 yards over the head of 'keeper Patrick Flood.

Colligan then doubled their advantage 50 minutes later. He touched the ball home at the back post after Gavin Melaugh forced his way into the penalty area to deliver the telling ball.

The Sky Blues entertain Crusaders at The Showgrounds in the next round, to be played 14th February.
