Dergview 1-5 Larne
Ladbrokes.com Championship - Tuesday, 14th April, 2009
LARNE raced into a three-goal lead inside the opening half-an-hour to effectively seal this Championship clash at Darragh Park by the break.

Robbie White opened the scoring after 14 minutes when Dergview 'keeper James O'Reilly headed a clearance whilst under pressure from Gary Rafferty only as far as the Linfield loanee who promptly lifted the ball over defender Colin Robinson into the net.

Marc Brown doubled Larne's advantage two minutes later when he was given ample space to get on the end of a BJ McMenamin free-kick while, on 24 minutes, a White touched a Michael McQuoid cross through the crowded penalty area past O'Reilly.

Gareth Sproule pulled one back for Dergview, however, seven minutes into the second half after converting a penalty awarded when substitute Stephen Wallace had been upended by Liam Hogan.

Larne added to their tally, though, with two Rafferty goals in stoppage time. He grabbed number four with a close range finish before William Faulkner created an opening in the area to lay the ball off for him to hammer home the fifth at the near post.
