The Ports moved in front after just ten minutes when Kevin Braniff finished off an Alan Teggart cross.

Dergview levelled, though, five minutes later when Gareth Sproule touched a John Carlin free-kick past David Miskelly before, on the half-hour, Ronnie McFall's side regained the advantage when Gary McCutcheon lobbed 'keeper James O'Reilly.

That was how it stayed until nine minutes into the second half when the floodgates well and truly opened.

Boyle notched up his first of the afternoon when he ran onto an Andy Hunter free-kick before he added a fourth on the hour mark after McCutcheon had combined with Ross Redman to create the opening.

Richard Clarke then added another on 64 minutes when O'Reilly fumbled a Braniff cross while Boyle grabbed the first hat-trick of the day a couple of minutes after that from a McCutcheon pass.

Braniff then completed the scoring to secure his own hat-trick with goals on 78 and 82 minutes, a close range finished and a solo effort from out on the wing respectively.
