Ballymoney United 0-1 Ballinamallard United
Ladbrokes.com Championship 1 - Saturday, 21st November, 2009
BALLINAMALLARD United maintained their excellent away form this season with this defeat of Ballymoney United at the Riada Stadium.

The win keeps Whitey Anderson's side very much in contention with the leaders and, crucially, they have a game in hand over three of their fellow challengers.

The Mallards signalled their intent early in the proceedings and, indeed, forced United 'keeper Simon Smyth into action after just five minutes when he had to produce a fine save to deny Darren Higginbotham.

Smyth also had to be at his best later in the game to block a goalbound Andy Crawford effort but he was beaten with just five minutes remaining when a Michael Kerr caused confusion in the Ballymoney penalty area and, in the scramble that ensued, Duwayne McManus was on hand to knock home the goal that ultimately proved to be the winner.
